NBA to be out 2 more weeks.

I am enjoying this show, as two sides fight for how much more of your money they are going to pay each other, while you sit idly by shaking your heads as if none of this involved you, the sports fan. LOL!

Rep. Jesse Jackson wants the government to hire the unemployed to clean the streets

In the news today, it's Jesse Jackson the junior, wants to hire the unemployed for $850Bil and make them all do cleaning jobs.

First he says the Republican House's opposition to the Jobs Bill is akin to what happened in the Lincoln days and the civil war. I guess he wasn't there when the bill never made it to the house - it was killed in the Democrat-controlled senate. HELLO!?!?

Then he calls congress, of which he is a member, dysfunctional. It's dysfunctional because of bozos like this guy!

Who votes for these people? Do they actually have real voters or is it all a back room deal to get him elected? Are you Democrats really proud of your votes now?

In the news: Cain faces criticism from black people

Yes, it is true, black people also complain about people of their own skin color. I know, it may come as a shock to us white people. We know it's OK for 'them' to complain about white people, but another black person??!!? The horror of it all!

Well duh people. Complaining and whining have no racial boundaries. What an epiphany. Black people will complain about Cain probably just as much as they complain about Obama. Except Cain will be labeled more of an "Uncle Tom" because he was so successful in the "white man's world" and he's a Republican. Not so many black people would vote for Cain as they did Obama simply because of the color of his skin, but I guarantee you that after the star gleam wore off of Obama and disillusion started to settle in...and the "Change" started to wear off and reality settled in that Obama was nothing more than a status quo politician who just happened to have a slightly brown heritage...maybe the ones who voted for him would learn something from their mistake. For example, you cannot vote for a person simply because you think he will do everything for you, and nothing for anyone else (black caucus).

Cain will be our next president the way things currently stand.

Soldier lack of discipline

Soldier discipline has deteriorated to the point where it risks becoming "cancerous," a senior Army general said Wednesday.

Yep. And I'm sure having open-gay GI parties is going to make it better.

Christie endorses Romney

Bad move. For one thing, it tells me he has chosen the political course. Instead of choosing the candidate he likes best, he chooses the one he thinks has the best chance of winning. Now whether that be the morally correct choice or even the right choice for America seemed to be beside the point. He's playing it safe, trying not to be wrong, with no regard for the consequences. Already millions of Americans are opining their displeasure.

Comment: Why are there so many Peter Pan men?

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/10/07/why-does-america-have-so-many-peter-pan-men/

So here we have, a WOMAN trying to tell MEN how to be MEN. Here's my comment: If I wanted a woman's opinion on how to be a man, I'd beat it out of her. Is that man enough for ya?

That's all tongue-in-cheek people, but it also really pounds the point home: There is nothing wrong with a kinder, gentler man. For a woman to suggest that's it's less manly to play video games...as opposed to what? Watching 5 hours of football? This is a preposterous article.

Liberal News media trying to promote anti-gun agenda

On the heels of the Virginia Tech tragedy, MSNBC.com just ran a story about how the world feels about our "lack of" anti-gun legislation. MSNBC even went so far as to quote Chinese people criticizing our gun laws, and MSNBC telling us how it is illegal for private citizens to own guns.

I found the article an obvious pitch, shamelessly using this tragic incident, as a push for MSNBC's obvious anti-gun agenda. How sad is that? And to use China as an example of Moral Interpretude, or as an example of personal freedoms!?!? That's the funniest of all! Ever hear of COMMUNISM, the oppression of a people? Tianamin Square? Of course they wouldn't arm their citizens, the government knows they'd revolt!

Learned a new word the other day

From Sunday school this last week, I learned the word Carnal Christian. So this is the word invented to describe the average modern-day Christian?

Makes sense and is perfectly applicable! Here I was describing this exact definition to this word without even realizing it, or having any knowledge of this word. I guess someone got there before me.

Just Rambling here for a bit

Well, I got a new Jeep not too long ago, a 2005 Wrangler X and I love it. Just what I always wanted and the kids love it (yes it has back seats)! Got a real good deal on it, it was barely used, 6-months old, 3000 miles and for under $20K. What a deal! And someone decked it out the short time they had it!

Charles Gabus Ford in Des Moines also gives you free oil changes, for the life of the vehicle. Wow!

So here I am walking to my daughter's softball game yesterday, I'm the asst. coach, and someone says to me, "Hey I have a girl scouts shirt like that." and I'm thinking huh? I look at my shirt, and it seems the lime green shirt I pulled from the laundry is no the usual softball team's shirt, but alas my wife's Girl Scouts shirt of the same color. I quickly told the lady, "Yeah, the other shirt is dirty..." and ran home to change.

Camping season has arrived! Already been out camping and go again this weekend, here locally to Cherry Glen. A friend of mine at work took the plunge as well and now his family has a camper and this'll be our second outing together. Memorial day weekend we're going to check out a new place at Lake Anita, just down the road here a bit near Atlantic, Iowa. Full hookups, so at least that'll be fun! Just trying to think of things to do with the kids. Sometimes those board games get old.

Looking for ideas here folks.

I recently visitied my friends at www.sbgfellowship.com and they reminded me that I have failed to write in my blog lately, so thanks guys! This is a site I used to help maintain and still do from time to time, and who knows, maybe I'll make a comeback.

Still going to college this year, taking Quantitative Decisions in Business and Personalities. I had to miss my first class of Personalities because my wife had the flu yesterday. Man she gets the flu a WHOLE LOT! I think this is the second time this year, but she also works in a hospital. I have never contracted the flu.

Before I found my Jeep, I was looking at the new Toyota FJCruiser, man that's a nice little thing, but I need to see it in person to see just how big it is. I think they're cool!

Until next time!
